JCSO: Man shot, killed after kicking in door of ex-girlfriend’s home

On Monday at 8:22 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shooting at a home in the 11000 block of Kenner Road, east of Fannett.

Upon arrival, deputies found 46-year-old Buck Aubey of Fannett inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound.

EMS transported Aubey to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead approximately two hours later, authorities said.

The initial Sheriff’s Office investigation indicates Aubey kicked in the front door and forced entry into the home of his ex-girlfriend. A disturbance ensued and Aubey was shot.

There were several other people in the home at the time of the shooting, police said, adding all are cooperating with the investigation.

No arrests were made as the investigation continues, authorities said.
