Here’s hoping everyone had a Merry Christmas. As we roll to a close of 2015, several honor scores have been recorded in the first half of this year’s league action. 2016 promises to be exciting when league bowling resumes on Jan. 4.
The last week of bowling, in 2015, was highlighted by Trey Todora. Usually taking a backseat to his sister, RaeAnna, Trey found his mark in the Monday night Valero League. Trey recorded games of 268-248-289 on his way to his first career 800 (805).
This score led all bowlers last week at the Max. Great bowling.
Also bowling in the Valero League, Sami Jo Williams led all the women for the second week in a row. Sami Jo shot games of 222-247-216 for a 685 series.
Our senior male bowler of the week is C.J. Moity with games of 266-256-235 for a nice 757 series. Our ladies were led by Alice Barnes, who got on her game by shooting 169-214-233 for a 616 set.
After being shut out the week before, Thursday night’s Energy Country Ford league had a couple of honor scores posted. George Gund cranked out a 300 game to start the night followed by 247 and 194 for a 741 set. Jimmy Calder started with a 204-213, then found the pocket 12 times for his perfect 300. Jimmy ended the night by shooting 717.
