Gilbert “Roger” Graves

Roger Graves, age 63 of Port Arthur passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Christus Dubuis Hospital of Port Arthur after a lengthy illness. Roger was born in Port Arthur on September 22, 1952 to Vernon Lloyd and Essie Mae Eddlemon Graves. Roger was of the Baptist faith and a retired truck driver.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ronald and Ralph Graves, sister, Pamela Graves and niece Melissa Graves. He is survived by his daughters, Amanda Kay and husband Walter Smith of DeRidder, Louisiana, Chrissy and husband Chris Mitchell of Leesville, Louisiana and Tonya Graves of Port Neches, sister, Patricia Graves of Port Arthur and seven grandchildren and one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, November 9, 2015 from 12 noon until 2:30 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home with Funeral Service at 2:30 P.M. at the Thompson Memorial Chapel of Clayton Thompson with Rev. David Birdsong officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
