Clara Greenewood Landry, age 97, of Bridge City, Texas passed away on April 29th, 2024, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas.

Clara was born on April 3rd, 1927, to Pat and Maude Greenwood of Port Arthur, Texas.

Services to honor Clara will be held at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur, Texas with Deacon Steve Obernuefemann officiating.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Friday May 3rd from 2:00-2:30 PM with a Rosary at 2:30 PM and a celebration of her life at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.

Clara, most importantly enjoyed spending time with her family, watching TV and working in her yard.

She also loved watching her grandsons performing with Bridge City High School Band, playing baseball and racing cars. Clara was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Arthur Landry of Bridge City, her daughter Patsy Peveto and son-in-law Thomas Peveto of Mauriceville, sisters Gracie Oliver of Port Arthur, Lucille Blum of Groves, Jewel Greenwood of Port Arthur, brothers Lloyd and Claude Greenwood of Port Arthur, one nephew, Pat (Sonny) Blum of Groves and a grandnephew, Kent Blum of Crystal Beach.

Clara is survived by her daughter, Sue Beck, and husband Vern of Bridge City. Three grandsons, David Beck and wife Lisa of Bridge City, Chris Peveto and Thomas (Pistol) Peveto of Mauriceville and a granddaughter Debbie Parker and husband Alex of Honey Island. Six great-grandchildren, Jessica and husband Ryan Collins of Mauriceville, Jocelyn Peveto of Mauriceville, Blake Peveto, and wife Kerstin of Orangefield and Hope Peveto of Dallas, Ethan, and Spencer Beck of Bridge City. Three great-great grandchildren Kim, Kayce, and Rylee Collins of Mauriceville. One grandnephew, Mark Blum of Port Neches.

Pallbearers will be David Beck, Ethan Beck, Blake Peveto, Chris Peveto, Spencer Beck, and Pistol Peveto.
