Workers have opened the inside shoulder for traffic as all westbound lanes on Interstate 10 at mile marker 859 in Orange County are closed due to a diesel spill. The access road is also open and traffic is moving slowly, a Department of Public Safety spokesperson said.

At approximately 8:40 a.m. Tuesday, there was a three vehicle crash in the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 near mile marker 859.  This crash involved two (2) truck tractor semi-trailers and a passenger vehicle.  The collision caused diesel to leak from one of the truck tractor’s gas tank.  At this time, there are no reports of any injuries.

Emergency crews are on scene to assist those involved in the crash and HazMat crews are working to clean up the diesel spill as quickly and safely as possible.  There is no estimated time as to when the Interstate will reopen.
