Single vehicle crash leads to local man’s death Tuesday morning in Port Arthur

An early morning crash left a local man in Port Arthur dead Tuesday.
UPDATE: Police identify victim.
Justice of the Peace Ben Collins Sr. said he received a call at approximately 4:30 a.m. of the crash on Texas 82 just past Texas 73. This is approximately a mile from the intersection of West Pot Arthur Road and Texas 73.
Collins said it was a single-vehicle, single-occupant crash and one person was deceased at the scene.
The individual is from Groves.
Police said he was 38 years old.
The name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
