Blaine Girouard of Groves authored the second hole in one of 2020 on Jan. 31 at Babe Zaharias. Girouard sank a 7-iron from 154 yards on the second hole. It was his third ace.

Andrew Landy and Chris Stroud, who turned 38 Monday, are both in the field for this week’s AT&T Pro-Am at Pebble Beach. Landry is coming off a T44 in the Phoenix Waste Management Open, while Stroud missed his fourth consecutive cut after rounds of 69-72-141. The cut was 140.

Landry shot rounds of 69-72-69-69 for four-under 280. His closing 69 was a wild ride that saw five birdies, an eagle and five bogeys. Two of his birdie putts were from 78 and 51 feet, while his eagle came on a chip from 48 feet…

In the Saturday Super Senior 2 ball at Zaharias, the team of Thad Borne, John Jessen, Gerald Huebel and Randy Trahan won the front with plus 1. On the back, even par won for the foursome of Kenny Robbins, Danny Robbins, Harrell Guidry and Wes McDonald.

Monday’s Senior 50 Plus 2 ball at Zaharias saw the team of Kenny Robbins, Raymond Darbonne, Charles Leard and Dwayne Benoit take the front with minus 1. On the back, the team of Bob West, Don MacNeal, Dillard Darbonne and Larry Johnson placed first with plus 4.
