PGA TOUR: Landry fires 65 in third round, tied for 10th at Travelers

Groves native Andrew Landry made a big leap from 57th place to a tie for 10th with a third-round 65 Saturday in the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Connecticut.

The 5-under round put Landry a 7-under 203 for the tournament. Chez Reavie, through, was hotter Saturday with a 7-under 63 round, putting him at 16-under 194 for a six-shot lead at TPC River Highlands.

Keegan Bradley and Zack Sucher are tied for second at 200.

Landry did not miss a put within 10 feet, and he hit 13 of 14 fairways and 14 of 18 greens in regulation, according to PGA TOUR LIVE. Playing a bogey-free round, Landry birdied the first, second, fourth, eighth and 17th holes.

Fellow Groves native Chris Stroud was cut after shooting 74 in the second round to wind up at 143. Lamar graduate Shawn Stefani took a big plummet down the leaderboard following a third-round 73 and was tied at 71st with 210.

The final round will air from noon to 1:45 p.m. on Golf Channel and continue from 2-5 p.m. on CBS (KFDM-6).
