Loyce Fehl Wukasch

Loyce Fehl Wukasch went to the arms of Jesus at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, Austin, Texas on January 31, 2019.

She was born on July 28, 1935 in Beaumont, Texas. She attended St. John’s Lutheran College in Winfield, Kansas and finished her degree at Lamar University in Port Arthur, Texas. She was a dedicated and honored Lutheran school teacher for over forty years in the Lutheran school system. She taught mainly at Trinity and Holy Cross Lutheran Schools. She later finished her teaching career at Stephen F. Austin in Port Arthur, Texas.

She was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Arthur.  Later she became a member of Redeemer Lutheran in Austin.

She married Bobby Wukasch on June 16, 1956 who precedes her in death. She is also predeceased by her daughter Carol, parents Ella and WHB Fehl, and her siblings Miriam, Lottie Jane, George and Bud. She is survived by her daughter Lori Stalheber of Austin, Texas, her granddaughter, Madeline and husband Andrew Crawley of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and  her sister Dorothy Fischer of Jefferson City, Missouri. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will begin at 11:00am on Febraury 6, 2019 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1500 W Anderson Ln, Austin, TX 78757, with Kevin Westergren officiating. Interment will be held on February 7, 2019 at 2:00pm at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas with Dave Schroder officiating.

Loyce leaves behind many friends in Port Arthur, Horseshoe Bay, and Austin, Texas.
