JANICE TODORA ON BOWLING: Regular sason ends with champions being crowned
Published 11:21 pm Monday, May 29, 2017
The regular season has ended and champions were crowned in the Monday night Valero League.
Taking those honors were Place Gutter Entropy. Wednesday night’s Fun Bowlers awarded first place to the Place Knuckle Deep. Finally the Thursday night Energy Country Ford/Allstate League crowned Place Obscurum Per Obscurius.
The highlights for this week had Shane Harlow unloading on the lanes in the Valero League. Shane had a perfect 300 game surrounded by games of 234 and 212 for a nice 746 set. Way to end the season Shane.
Stars of Tomorrow saw Cain Shaw rattle the boards with games of 212, 220 and 232 for a 665 series.
Thursday night had Brandon Dennison start his night with a perfect game. Brandon finished the night with a 624 set. Belinda Powell leads all the women this week. Belinda shook the lanes up with games of 258, 186 and 199 on her way to a 643 series.
Gloria Devillo took top honors for the Senior ladies this week. Gloria shot games of 231, 199 and 158 for a 588 series. Kirwin Melo collared the lanes with games of 204, 230, 243 for a 677 series to lead the senior men this week.
Finally this week’s top bowler is a personal favorite of mine. He doesn’t normally get this honor for the men like his sister does for the ladies. Trey Todora ripped the racks shooting games of 280, 259 and 237 for a 776 series. Great bowling, son.
All righty now, this will be the last column until the fall season restarts in late August. This columnist wishes everyone a happy safe summer.
