PNG grad Dean honored by Alabama conference

Former Port Neches-Groves player Maci Dean was named Co-Pitcher of the Week in the Alabama Community College Conference for March 27-April 2.
Dean went 3-0 for Coastal Alabama Community College-Bay Minette. She threw two shutouts while striking out 20 and walking two.
Dean is 13-6 on the season with one save. She’s thrown 129 pitches and struck out 73 while posting a 2.44 ERA.
Her award comes a week after her 2015 PNG classmate, Katie Lee, was named the conference’s player of the week.
Coastal Alabama is a consolidation of Faulkner State, Alabama Southern and Jefferson Davis community colleges.
