As we wind down 2016 bowlers at the Max have enjoyed another great year of bowling. 2017 promises to be as entertaining as 2016.

It has been proven in the last few weeks that the likes of Sami Jo Williams and RaeAnna Todora will continue to provide top competition to some of the top male bowlers. It’s exciting and very competitive. Let’s get on with the final column of 2016. Come on, it won’t hurt. I promise you will recognize some of the names.

Monday night’s Valero League provided the top senior bowlers. Alice Barnes is back in the spotlight after a absence of a couple of weeks. Alice shot games of 201-231-168 for an even 600 series to lead all the senior women.

Bob Collums grabbed the top honors for the senior men this week. Bob spanked the lanes to the tune of 256-255-194 for a 705 set. Great bowling, folks, and we look to see you seniors stay on top of your game for 2017.

Thursday night’s Energy Country Ford/Allstate League produced our top male and female bowlers of the week. RaeAnna Todora led all the women this week by shooting games of 230-246-253 for a sweet 729 series.

The Duke, Robert Duke absolutely crushed the lanes Thursday night when he shot games of 232-278-276 for a nice 786 series. Great bowling.

As we roll into 2017, city tournaments will start the process of sign-ups while state and national tournaments also start theirs. More on that later.
