Groves native Andrew Landry and five other golfers finished in a tie for eighth place Sunday in the John Deere Classic in Silvis, Ill.

The finish gave Landry his second top rookie honor this year, following his outstanding run in the U.S. Open. Landry shot 67 for the third straight day to post 14-under 270, including a hole-out eagle at the par-4 eighth from 138 yards away, according to Rotoworld.
