On Sunday evening, February 21, 2016, Sis. Annie Burgess answered the call of our Lord and Savior and went home to be with the Lord.  Annie was born on September 30, 1952 to the union of Henry Taylor and Katherine Dixon Reedom.  She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School Class of 1972. After high school, she joined the United States Army where she met and married Calvin Burgess Sr.  To their union two children were born.
Annie leaves to mourn her passing her mother Katherine Reedom; one daughter Katherine Burgess; one son Calvin Burgess, Jr.; her siblings Diana Ivory (Whitney), Iceola Aldaiz (Richard), Barbara Acrond (James), Henry Taylor, James Taylor (Mary), Dabbs Taylor all of Port Arthur, Chalet Taylor and Arthur Lee Taylor (Bridget) of Baton Rouge, LA; 8 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel.
