Kathie’s Korner: Summer Beach 2!

I love this time of year even though summer is creeping and heating up on us, yikes!
I will be enjoying my Happy Birthday lunch at my favorite Greek Restaurant at Galveston Beach with it’s amazing sunrises and sunsets, water birds, sand (of course), and with my favorite beach buddy, husband, Mike Deasy!
We like everything about the beach. When we lived on the beach in New Jersey, a friend there said once, “how can you stand all this sand?” I replied, I like everything about the beach, I just sweep it out and we always lived in low-maintenance beach furnishings, including tile and marble floors, very easy to keep clean.
We love the outdoors, so, the walking on the boardwalk, smells of the ocean, breezes and fishing, relaxing and reading watching dolphins and people in between our travel sometimes 5,000 miles a month, preaching, going to schools and prisons with the gospel.
We were able to help a church in the area re-construct their Christian School for young people of all ages, from the inside out. There was a new curriculum, dedicated, passionate teachers and music in which everyone in the school was in the choir. Students learned comradery, good sportsmanship and excelling in their lives. It was so meaningful and an honor for us to be a part of that building process! As adults, we still hear from some of the children. Glory to God.
But, everything we do and think and say, revolves around our God and His plan for us.
We spend time at the beach, quietly praying and talking about upcoming projects while we look at the water and palm trees swaying in the wind. The ocean is very peaceful and inspiring to us!
Join us as we continue to:
“Choose the things that help us run better and faster. Lose the things that slow us down.”
I did not make this up, it’s according to the Word: Hebrews 12:1
