PALT to host kids’ theatre camp

The Port Arthur Little Theatre is gearing up for its sixth annual CELT Kids’ Interactive Theatre Camp, which begins June 8.

CELT Kids’ is a fun-filled introduction and learning experience about the world of theatre. The participants will take three workshops a day, Monday through Friday, learning acting, set construction, lighting and sound, prop making, and hair and makeup.

The camp is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday, June 8 through 19, and culminates in a performance on June 20. Each workshop and performance will be in the Port Arthur Little Theatre, 4701 Jimmy Johnson Blvd. in Port Arthur.

CELT Kids’ Interactive Theatre Camp is geared toward children between 5 and 15 years old.

The camp costs $100 per child — with multi-children discounts available — and includes all supplies, a T-shirt, two complimentary show tickets and a daily snack.

Registration forms are available online and must be turned in by Friday.

For general and scholarship information, or for multi-children discounts, call PALT Board of Directors President Debbie Pletcher at (409) 727-7258.
