   Edward Sanders, Sr., 67 of Port Arthur died Friday, December 14, 2012.  He was a member of Sacred Heart-St. Mary Parish Church and retired from the City of Port Arthur.

   He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joan Jones, parents Numa & Ophelia Sanders, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

   He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 46 years Rose Sanders; daughters, Dana Milton and Stacee Thomas; sons, Edward Jr., Brian, Hayward, Donald Sanders all of Port Arthur; 15 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 brothers, Nicholas & Chester Sanders; sisters Irma Ransom, Willie Chilot all of Port Arthur and Dolores Fontenette of Loreauville, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

   Funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Sacred Heart-St. Mary Parish Church with a viewing from 8 a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
