PORT ARTHUR —
Katie Dupuy, 93, formerly of Port Arthur, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas, surrounded by her family. Katie was born November 5, 1919, in Melville, Louisiana to the late Tony Latino and Annie Canatella Latino.
Katie is described by her family as a devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother. Katie enjoyed listening to French music and dancing. Her greatest achievement and joy was raising her family. She loved cooking for her family and making sure everyone was taken care of. Katie was known to be a loving caretaker for the elderly. She was a member of Val Verde Baptist Church in Groves and enjoyed attending regularly. She will be greatly missed.
Katie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, John Dupuy, Sr., son, Jack Dupuy, sister, Lucy Cashio brothers, Joe Latino, Charlie Latino and Ross Latino.
Katie is survived by her sons, John Dupuy and his wife Susan of Norton Shores, Michigan; James Dupuy of Beaumont; Ralph Dupuy and his wife Tonya of Port Neches; brother, Sam Latino and his wife Bernice of Louisiana; sisters, Fennie Bonnette and her husband Jessie of Louisiana; Mary Early of Louisiana; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grammier- Oberle Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 30, 2012, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves, with Pastor Rick Koonce officiating.
