Matt Bryant still has it. In fact, he’s never lost it.

Bryant, 42, booted a 57-yard field goal with 3:12 left before halftime to expand the Atlanta Falcons’ lead to 17-7 at Tampa Bay on Monday night, just 5 yards shy of a career long he set in 2006 with the Buccaneers. The 1994 Bridge City High alumnus has converted 7 of 8 field goals from 50 or more yards out this season and 26 of 31 overall this season.

Bryant had a 33-yard attempt blocked late in the third quarter of Atlanta’s 24-21 win over Tampa Bay. He did make three extra points to remain perfect in that category (33 for 33).

For his career, Bryant has made 361 of 422 field goals, an 85.5 percent clip.

Galveston Ball graduate Mike Evans brought down  a  42-yard touchdown pass against double coverage in the third quarter.

During halftime, former Buccaneers coach and ESPN analyst Jon Gruden was inducted into the Buccaneers’ Ring of Honor.
