Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, FBI, Homeland Security declare land under I-10 bridge a crime scene

LAKE CHARLES — The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, the FBI and DHS Homeland Security Investigations are working on a case that has lead them to declare a section of land on the east side under the I-10 bridge a crime scene. Crime scene processing of this land will take place beginning today, according to a press release from the CPSO.
According to American Press, investigators have cleared an area of marsh on the northeast side of the I-10 bridge near the boat launch and an earth mover and dump truck are on scene. A mobile command center has been set-up by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office.
