Groves Police responded to the following calls from July 18 through July 24

Wednesday, July 18

• Someone broke a lock and entered a storage building in the 4800 block of Pure Atlantic Road. Eight fold out chairs, leather couch, a tent, chairs, fish tank, DVD equipment and a grown guitar were stolen.

• An Echo weed eater was stolen from the 5700 block of Hogaboom.

• Vandalism of approximately $1,000  to a 2005 Jeep Wrangler that was at a local business in the 5100 block of  East Parkway was reported.

Thursday, July 19

• Theft of medication and a social security card was reported from a resident in the 3200 block of Woodlawn.

• Burglary of a residence was reported in the 5300 block of Main Avenue in which more than $100 was taken.  

• A 53-year-old female was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 3300 block of Bryan.

Medication was stolen from the 3200 block of Woodlawn.

Friday, July 20

• Identity theft was reported after someone used the victim’s social security number to file an income tax return.

• A  21-year-old male was arrested on outstanding warrants in the 2300 block of Owens.

• A HTC Mytouch cell phone was stolen from the 5500 block of Anselmo.

• A forged check was passed in the 6000 block of 39th Street.

Saturday, July 21

• A blue and white Kent brand bicycle was stolen from the 6600 block of Taylor.

• Burglary to a residence was reported in the 5000 block of Sue. Nothing appeared to be missing.

• A 36-year-old male was arrested for shoplifting and an outstanding warrant in the 6000 block of 39th Street.

• A 27-year-old male was arrested for an outstanding warrant and resisting arrest in the 6400 block of 39th Street.

Sunday, July 22

• Two persons were arrested for outstanding warrants after a traffic stop in the 6300 block of 25th Street.

• A disturbance was reported in the 3000 block of Canal.

• Burglary of a habitation was reported in the 3100 block of Walnut. Nothing was missing.

• An assault was reported in the 6600 block of Val.

Monday, July 23

• A disturbance was reported in the 6200 block of Jackson.

• A Pioneer CD player was stolen from a vehicle in the 3800 block of Stuart.

• A black utility trailer was stolen from the 6300 block of Terrell.

• Officers were called to the 5300 block of Craig in reference to a possible burglary of a vehicle. The complainant stated he had gone to his vehicle and observed a man asleep in his vehicle.

• A 28 year old female was arrested for fail to identify/fugitive and outstanding warrants after officers were called to the 5300 block of Craig.

• Cash and cigarettes were stolen from a vehicle in the 3800 block of Kinard.

• A 20-year-old male was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and outstanding warrants in the 6900 block of Howe.

• A CD player and a 12 pack of Dr. Peppers were stolen from a vehicle in the 3200 block of North.

• A Pioneer AM/FM CD player was stolen from a vehicle in the 3800 block of Stuart.

• Three decorative yard lights were stolen from the 6700 block of Terrell.

Tuesday, July 24

• Someone pried open the back door to a residence in the 6900 block of Washington.

• A disturbance was reported in the 6900 block of Smith.

• A Weed Eater yard blower and a Craftsman trimmer were stolen from a garage in the 2600 block of Montrose.
