Rev. Louis Hatch III, was born in Port Arthur, Texas to Irene and the Late Pastor Emeritus Louis Hatch Jr. on September 27, 1979.

He was the youngest of three children born to this union.

He accepted Christ at an early age at Guiding Star Missionary Baptist Church.

Rev. Louis Hatch III served in many ministries in the church.

He was a 1998 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School.

In 2000, he earned an Associate of Applied Science in Funeral Services from Commonwealth
College of Funeral Services in Houston, Texas.

Rev. Louis Hatch III, began his career as a Funeral Home Attendant at Proctor’s Mortuary, Comeaux Community Funeral Chapel, and Gabriel Funeral Home where he faithfully served for a decade.

On February 18, 2006, Rev. Louis Hatch III married the love of his life Detra Dion Williams, and to their union they were blessed with two beautiful children, Louis Hatch IV and Leah Rae Hatch.

In February 2010, Rev. Louis Hatch III answered his call to ministry following in the footsteps of his earthly father, Pastor Louis Hatch Jr.

Rev. Louis Hatch III preached his first sermon under the leadership of Pastor Kurt Washington at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.

In March 2016, Rev. Louis Hatch III was called to pastor New Light Missionary Baptist Church until he completed his course.

Rev. Louis Hatch III is preceded in death by his father, Pastor Emeritus Louis Hatch Jr. and his brother, Johnny Ray Hatch.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 14 years, First Lady Detra D. Hatch, son, Louis Hatch IV, daughter, Leah Hatch, mother, Irene Hatch, sister, Dana Hatch-Banks, and brother, Johnny M. Hatch (Georgia).

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 am on Monday, March 16, 2020 at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 948 5th Street.

A visitation will be held from 9 am until service time. Pastor Kurt Washington will be officiating.
