Jefferson County Pct. 2 Constable Christopher Bates volunteered as a Salvation Army Bell Ringer at the Memorial Boulevard Walmart in Port Arthur.

“It is such an humbling feeling to be a Salvation Army Bell Ringer, and help others who are less fortunate,” he said.

This is the 129th Year the Salvation Army has held the fundraising event. Here locally, the last day of the Red Kettle Bell Campaign was Monday.
