Charles Joseph Morrell, 81, of Port Neches, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019.

Charles was born, July 19, 1938 in Port Arthur to the late, Pete Morrell and Anna Provenzano Morrell.

He retired as a Civil Engineer with Jacob Engineers with 51 years of service.

He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland.

Charles is survived by his wife of 53 years, Frances Morrell of Port Neches; his sons, Jody M. Morrell of Port Arthur, Kevin J. Morrell of Nederland, and Mark B. Morrell of Port Neches.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, also his sister, Nancy Montondon.

A gathering of the family and friends will be Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with at Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Eathan Oakes celebrant.

Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland.
