Ury “Braq” Braquet

Ury “Braq” Braquet, 92, of Groves, died August 28, 2018 in Port Arthur. Braq was a native of Loreauville, Louisiana and a resident of Groves since 1045.  Braq was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and volunteered at the Catholic Charities Hospitality Center for 33 years and, also, with the United Board of Missions. He was a former member of the Sertoma Club. Braq served his            country during WWII in the Merchant Marines and in the United States Army.

Braq is survived by his wife, Mary Lynn Braquet of Groves; his children, Curtis Colicher of Lumberton, Tod Braquet of Port Neches, Gail Glecher of Clear Lake, Roxi Struebing of Canyon Lake, Suzette Braquet of Sugarland and Si’Mone Braquet also, of Sugarland; a sister Janet Thibodeaux of Loreaville, LA. He also leaves behind five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

The arrangements for Mr. Ury “Braq” Braquet are entrusted to the care of Grammier Oberle Funeral Home.
