A man who was stabbed last week in Port Arthur has died making this the 11^th murder of the year in the city.

The 37-year-old victim, Roderick Wiltz, has died following a stabbing that happened Friday at 3740 Gulfway Drive.

The suspect, 54-year-old Leroy Gipson, was taken into custody shortly after the stabbing.

According to police, the two men had been involved in an altercation and one stabbed the other in the chest.

The victim was transported to St. Mary Hospital then later transferred to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont due to his condition.
