Harold Halter, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on February 21, 2018 in his home in Port Arthur, TX. Born January 21, 1953 to the late Richard and Helen Halter, Harold was a retired electrician and air force veteran. Nothing made Harold more proud than his three sons and his grandchildren.

Harold is proceeded in death by his mother Helen D. Halter, father Richard Halter Sr.;twin sister Helen Baque and sister Barbara Milton; two brothers Jackie and Ross “Buddy” Halter; nephew Arthur Rosales and grand-daughter Austyn Halter.

He is survived by his sister Sharon Halter Boggs; two brothers Mike and Ricky Halter; three sons: Shawn Halter, Ross Halter and wife Jessica, Joshua Halter and wife Sarah; grandchildren: Brett Moody and Emma, Bryson, and Avery Halter; nieces Bernice Baque and Amy Pena and husband Rick; nephew Michael Boggs and wife Lindsay; and several great nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, TX on Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Harold’s name to the Hospitality Center of Port Arthur address: 2780 Eastex Fwy Beaumont, TX 77703 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital address:  501 Saint Jude Pl Memphis, TN 38105.
