Albert Carl Friedl, Jr., 86, a lifelong resident of Port Arthur died February 14, 2017, in Port Arthur.  Mr. Friedl retired from Texaco as a pipefitter. He was a member of the local Pipefitters Union; he enjoyed camping and traveling, as an avid woodworker he built his own boat that he enjoyed skiing behind.

Mr. Friedl is survived by his two daughters, Kim Scully (John) and Cynthia Miller (Daniel), all of Port Arthur; five grandchildren, Melissa Davis (Doug) of Alabama, Albert Scully, Jacob Scully, William Miller (Prisma), and Mariah Gaspard all of Port Arthur; four great grandchildren, Amelia Davis and Daniel Davis of AL, Miah Martinez and Mateo Victoriano of Port Arthur.

The family will receive friends today, Friday, February 17, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Grammeir – Oberle Funeral Home with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at St. James Catholic Church at 1:00 pm. with the interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park
