Shawneqa Renee Chambers, 34, was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, November 28, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, TX.   She was born May 7, 1982 in Port Arthur, TX to the union of Samuel Lee Chambers and the late Judy Ann Chambers. She was a 2000 graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School. Shawneqa was an active member of Strong Tower Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Herbert Fontnette. She was employed by Fluor Corporation in Baytown, Texas.

Shawneqa was such a friendly, loving, outgoing, happy person who never met a stranger. She always took care of everybody she met. She had a beautiful smile which was filled with laughter, and a giving heart.

Shawneqa was preceded in death by her mother Judy Ann Chambers and her sister LeKesia Chambers.

She leaves to cherish her memory her father Samuel Lee Chambers (Carolyn); two sisters and one brother all of Port Arthur, TX; a very close friend Michael Hightower, Beaumont, TX; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at New Hope Baptist Church, 549 West Gulfway Drive, Port Arthur, TX with visitation from 12 noon until service time. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Park under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
