Dagmar Gillis Randazzo

Dagmar Gillis Randazzo, 75, of Groves passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Christus Hospital- St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.

She was born on December 11, 1940 to Janice Francez Gillis and G. W. Gillis in Port Arthur, Texas. Dagmar has been a lifelong resident of the area. She obtained her Beautician’s license and at one time owned Dagmar’s Beauty Nook in Groves. She also worked at the Rose House and Salon Benoits. Dagmar was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and Women’s Guild at the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Dagmar is survived by her son, Corey Randazzo and his wife, Katrina of Groves, her three grandchildren, Brittany Solorzano, Ashlynn Randazzo, Daniella Randazzo, her sister, Jennifer Rodgers and her husband, Ricky of Nederland, her two brothers, Michael Gillis of Sedona, Arizona and Patrick Gillis and his wife, Cindy of LaBelle, two nephews, one niece and one great niece along with a host of cousins,

Visitation for family and friends will be on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Friday, October 14, 2016 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Rev. R. Eathan Oakes serving as celebrant. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors in Groves.
