Dennis Jones, 85, of Port Arthur passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016. A native of Breaux Bridge, LA, he was a longtime resident of Port Arthur.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Corine Jones; wife, Mary Jones; daughter, Bertha Crosby; three sons, Fredrick, Phillip and Kevin Jones and one sister, Adeline Mayfield.

He leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Mark Jones (Patricia) of Beaumont, TX and Eric Jones (Pat) of Jacksonville, FL; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Elvira Jones and Bernice Jones; four sisters, Geraldine Pellerin of Lafayette, LA, Jerry Mayfield of Beaumont, TX, Maryland Jones and Clematine Bass of Port Arthur; five brothers, Leonard Sr., Lavin Sr., Calvin and Cleveland Jones all of Breaux Bridge, LA and Roy Noel of Branch, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel with visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home.
