Dr. Robert John Marchner, 59, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016. He was born on November 7, 1956, in Hialeah, Florida, to Edith Nocera Marchner and Russell Hugh John Marchner.

Rob was a strong, caring and loving support for his family, as a devoted husband, father, brother and son. He enjoyed cooking, racquet ball and bicycling. He was a compassionate physician and mentor. He was so loved and be missed very much.

Survivors include his wife, Dr. Mary Jane Castro of Beaumont; mother, Edith Marchner of Pembroke Pines, Florida; daughter, Samantha Jane Marchner of Beaumont; brothers, Todd Gregory Marchner of San Diego, California and Darren George Marchner of Phoenix, Arizona; and sisters, Carol Ann Westmoreland and Laura Jean Marchner, both of Tallahasee, Florida and Kim Louise McMahan of Alanta, Georgia.

A Funeral Mass for Dr. Marchner will be celebrated 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2016, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 3706 Woodrow Drive, Port Arthur, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His committal will follow at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dr. Marchner’s memory to Medical Surgical Mission of Texas, P.O. Box 7959, Beaumont, Texas 77726-7959.
