Wednesday, July 27

• A disturbance was reported in the 3000 block of Eugenia.

 

Thursday, July 28

• A 23-year-old man was arrested for assault by threat in the 5800 block of 39^th Street.
• Theft was reported in the 5000 block of Twin City Highway.
• A hit and run accident was reported in the 5000 block of Monroe.
• A 34-year-old man was arrested for outstanding warrants with another agency after a traffic stop at Lay Avenue/39^th Street.

 

Friday, July 29

• Two vehicles were burglarized and a driver’s license and credit and debit cards were stolen in the 3700 block of Charles.
• A men’s wallet was stolen from a vehicle in the 3800 block of Charles.
• A 48-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication in the 5500 block of 39^th Street.
• A criminal trespass warning notice was issued in the 3300 block of Canal.
• A 30-year-old man was arrested on outstanding Groves warrants after a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Main.
• Burglary of a habitation was reported in the 5200 block of Whitaker.
• A 34 year old woman was arrested for outstanding warrants in the 3200 block of Walnut.

 

Saturday, July 30

• A 32-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana after a traffic stop in the 3800 block of Main.
• A 27-year-old male was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 5500 block of West Washington.
• A flat screen TV was stolen from the 5100 block of East Parkway.

 

• A 24-year-old man was arrested for evading arrest after officers were called to the 3600 block of East Parkway in reference to a traffic accident.
• A disturbance was reported in the 3000 block of Elm.

 

Sunday, July 31

• A 39-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication in the 6000 block of Gulfway Drive after officers were called about a suspicious vehicle.
• A 21-year-old man was arrested on outstanding warrants after a traffic stop in the 5600 block of 39^th Street.
• All four tires and rims were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 5500 block of West Washington.
• The back window of a vehicle parked in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive was broken out.

 

Monday, Aug. 1

• A 58-year-old man was arrested on outstanding warrants after a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Main.
• A 35-year-old man was arrested for unlawfully carrying a weapon during a traffic stop in the 4700 block of Gulf.
• A 2016 Hyundai Sonata was stolen during a disturbance in the 2000 block of Perry.

 

Tuesday, Aug. 2

• A mental commitment was processed.
• Two window air conditioning units were stolen from a house in the 2800 block of Berry.
• An aggravated robbery was reported at a business in the 4700 block of Twin City Highway. The store clerk reported that a tall thin black male approached her register and lifted up his shirt and displayed a gun. He left the scene after taking an undetermined amount of cash.
• An officer located a vehicle that was involved in a robbery that occurred in Beaumont.

Cyber Bullying — The most common cybercrimes carried out today are hacking, child sexual abuse, copyright infringement, child pornography, selling illegal substances through trafficking, posting of unsuitable content and issues concerning privacy when confidential information is deflected lawfully.

Cybercrime, particularly that which exploits the young and children not only has a devastating effect on them today, but has the potential to produce scars and issues for generations to come.

Cyber harassment, on the other hand, is a similar but distinct cybercrime. Most general harassment types include sexual, racial, religious or otherwise. Trespassing the privacy of a naturalized person of a state, city, town or other community brings us the harassment of another related field under cybercrime, which is again serious. Nobody wants to let anyone get access to the very important and extremely sensitive information of him or her.
