Memorial girls shut out Bob Hope, 3-0

The Port Arthur Memorial Lady Titans defeated the Bob Hope Lady Eagles 3-0 Thursday evening in soccer.
Memorial (1-4-2) outshot Bob Hope 8-1 behind strong defensive efforts from Angela Rodriguez, Blanca Orozco, Karina Terrezas and Arianna Fernandez.
Julisa Teledo scored the first goal off an assist from Jackie Valle. Jessica Graycian then made it 2-0 before Yudith Banda capped the scoring.
Memorial opens District 21-6A play at home Tuesday against Channelview.
