Groves Police Department officers made the following arrests and responded to the following calls from May 8 to May 14:

May 8

  • Eric Jones, 40, was arrested for driving while intoxicated/open alcohol container in the 3500 block of Taft.
  • Edward Trevino, 68, was arrested for driving while intoxicated 2nd offense in the 3500 block of Grant Avenue.
  • Jaider Quinones Riascos, 31, was arrested for engaging in organized criminal Activity in the 3700 block of Debbie Lane.
  • Pedro Henry, 29, was arrested for engaging in organized criminal activity, unlawful use of criminal instrument and warrants in the 3700 block of Debbie Lane.
  • Jonathan Zuniga Bravo, 39, was arrested for engaging in organized criminal activity and unlawful use of criminal instrument in the 3700 block of Debbie Lane.
  • Burglary of a habitation was reported in the 6300 block of Verde.

May 9

  • Criminal mischief was reported in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.

  • Jason Moreno, 52, was arrested for warrants in the 6800 block of 32nd Street.
  • Jason Altman, 46, was arrested for warrants and possession of a controlled substance in the 6800 block of 32nd Street.
  • Ferrisha Harris, 41, was arrested for fail to identify giving false/fictitious information in the 6000 block of 25th Street.

May 11

  • Victor Mayorga-Gaytan, 39, was arrested for warrants in the 6200 block of 39th Street.
  • A theft was reported in the 6000 block of Gulfway Drive.

May 12

  • No reports.

May 13

  • No reports.

May 14

  • An assault by threat was reported in the 3800 block of Lay.
  • An information report was filed at the 4500 block of Twin City Highway.
  • Burglary of a habitation was reported in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.
