Vidor home is total loss following fire

VIDOR — A manufactured home is a total loss following a recent fire in Vidor, authorities said.

Orange County Emergency Services District No. 1 Fire Chief Robert L. Smith said firefighters were called at approximately 6:17 a.m. April 30 to a structure fire in the 100 block of Texla Road.

When authorities arrived, they found a single-wide manufactured home with heavy smoke and flames showing.

Fire crews used two hand lines to extinguish the fire, and the structure was a complete loss, Smith said in a news release.

No injuries were reported during the firefighting operation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
