NEDERLAND — A Nederland man arrested and bonded out of jail this week on charges of invasive visual recording and possession of child pornography.

The charges against Brandon Kyle Miller, 29, began after a person reported a hidden camera inside a home on Avenue B in Nederland, Police Chief Gary Porter said.

Miller allegedly was using a cell phone to make the recordings, and during the investigation police reportedly found the images of nude adults and images of child pornography not related to the hidden camera.

An investigation into these types of crimes is lengthy, as detectives must subpoena records, Porter said.

The case was turned over to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office, and Miller was indicted Jan. 24, according to the D.A.’s office.

A warrant was issued for Miller and he was recently extradited from Missouri.

He was arrested Wednesday on invasive visual recording with bond set at $15,000 and possession of child pornography with bond set at $25,000. He bonded out the next day, according to information from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
