Groves Police Department officers made the following arrests and responded to the following calls from March 27 to April 2:

March 27

  • David Aguilar, 30, was arrested for warrants in the 5400 block of Gulfway Drive.
  • Alma Torres, 23, was arrested for abandon/ endanger child with intent to return in the 5400 block of Gulfway Drive.
  • A theft was reported in the 5300 block of West Parkway.

March 28

  • Duty on striking fixture/highway landscape was reported in the 5100 block of Parkway.
  • An assault was reported in the 4700 block of Lawndale.

March 29

  • An assault was reported in the 2200 block of Post Oak.

March 30

  • Juan Rodriguez, 29, was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 3100 block of Main Avenue.
  • Yusnel Rivas, 48, was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 3300 block of Pure Atlantic.
  • Brodrerick Guidry, 26, was arrested for warrants in the 3900 block of Twin City Highway.
  • Joel Solano, 50, was arrested for public intoxication in the 3300 block of Pure Atlantic.
  • Benjamin Figueroa, 46, was arrested for abandon/ endanger child- imminent danger, driving while intoxicated, failed to signal with turn indicator and resisting arrest, search or transport in the 2900 block of Azalea.
  • Tyron Williams, 48, was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the 1700 block of Twin City Highway.
  • Lela Johnson, 27, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a controlled substance in the 4900 block of Twin City Highway.

April 1

  • Jaxiel Leblan Suarez, 24, was arrested for warrants in the 5300 block of 25th Street.

April 2

  • Cody Flood, 36, was arrested for warrants in the 2100 block of Main Avenue.
  • Criminal mischief was reported in the 2700 block of Graves.
  • An assault was reported in the 2600 block of 2nd Avenue.
