The report stated a vessel was taking on water with four adults and two children aboard.

Watchstanders issued an urgent marine information broadcast and directed the launch of a Coast Guard Station Sabine 29-foot Response Boat–Small crew to respond.

The RB–S crew arrived on scene and discovered the vessel capsized; all six people were wearing life jackets and standing on the boat in waist-deep water.

The boat crew approached, embarked the boaters and safely transferred them to emergency medical services personnel waiting on shore, authorities said.
