MAURICEVILLE — The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is investing the discovery of a body in Mauriceville, authorities said.

Captain Joey Jacobs said deputies received a call at approximately 11 a.m. Monday of a deceased person in the 5300 block of Mesquite Drive.

Justice of the Peace Chad Jenkins is ordering an autopsy.

No further information is available, as the investigation is in the early stages, Jacobs said.
