Crime victims candlelight vigil set for those in Jefferson County

BEAUMONT — Crime victims from around Port Arthur, Mid County and all of Jefferson County are invited to gather for the 31st Annual Crime Victim’s Candlelight Vigil at 6 p.m. April 23, hosted by the Jefferson County Crime Victim’s Coalition

“This annual event is a way for victims of crime to come together and support each other. We will light a candle for victims of various crime and present a slide show highlighting crime victims,” said Chris Castillo, member of the Jefferson County Crime Victims Coalition.

Coalition member agencies are participating in the event, which includes music and refreshments at the Jefferson County Courthouse jury impaneling room, 1149 Pearl St. in Beaumont.

The theme is “How would you help? Options, services and hope for crime survivors.”
