Groves Police Department officers made the following arrests and responded to the following calls from Jan 3 to Jan. 9:

Jan. 3

  • Rashad Carter, 30, was arrested for warrants in the 6000 block of 39th Street.
  • Ryya Young, 29, was arrested for resisting arrest, search or transport in the 4800 block of 39th Street.
  • A terroristic threat/ illegal dumping was reported in the 5000 block of 34th Street.
  • A terroristic threat was reported in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.
  • An assault was reported in the 5800 block of W Jefferson.

Jan. 4

  • Credit card or debit card abuse was reported in the 6000 block of Monroe.

  • An assault was reported in the 5000 block of Twin City Highway.
  • A dog at large was reported in the 3100 block of Graves.
  • An assault was reported in the 6700 block of 25th Street.

Jan. 6

  • A terroristic threat was reported in the 4200 block of Main Avenue.
  • A theft was reported in the 5000 block of Twin City Highway.

Jan. 7

An evading arrest/detention using a vehicle or watercraft report was filed at the 5800 block of 39th Street.

  • A theft was reported in the 6100 block of Cove.

Jan. 8

  • An accident involving damage to a vehicle was reported in the 5300 block of Gulfway Drive.

Jan. 9

  • An assault was reported in the 6300 block of 25th Street.
  • An information report was taken at the 5200 block of Twin City Highway.
