Celebrity signatures highlight guitar raffle for Bob Hope music program

A piece of music history is being raffled as a fundraiser benefiting Port Arthur education.

The Beaumont Boys Bash Guitar Raffle concludes this month, with proceeds benefiting the Bob Hope School Music Program.

A Mitchell guitar was signed by 12 celebrities in attendance at the 2011 Beaumont Boys Bash benefitting the charter holder, The Hughen Center.

The event featured a concert by Clay Walker, Neal McCoy, Zona Jones and Blue Broussard on April 16, and a Nashville Songwriters’ Night on April 15, featuring Kevin Denney, Byron Hill and Wynn Varble.

Signatures of all performers are present on the guitar. Other signatures added include Bum Phillips, Mark Chesnutt, Houston Oilers players Elvin Bethea and Dan Pastorini and Miss Texas 2010 Ashley Melnick.
