The Texas Department of Transportation announced numerous road closures starting this weekend that will impact Port Arthur motorists.

According to TxDOT, the left lane of SH 73 eastbound (west of U.S. 69 and east of 9th Avenue) will close from 8 p.m. Sunday to 4 a.m. Monday.

Also, the left lane of SH 73 westbound (west of U.S. 69 and east of 9th Avenue) will close from 8 p.m. Monday to 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Southeast Texas motorists can also expect alternating lane closures at the following locations Jan. 8-12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. due to signal upgrades.

Beaumont:

US 90 at Major Dr.

US 90 at Lindbergh Dr.

MLK, Jr. Parkway at Calder Ave.

MLK, Jr. Parkway at Washington Blvd.

Jefferson County:

US Hwy 69 at FM 365

Groves/Port Arthur/Port Neches:

SH 87 at Main Ave.

SH 87 at Rosedale Dr.

SH 87 at US Hwy 69 (Gulfway Dr. & Woodworth Blvd.)

FM 365 at FM 366

Orange County:

SH 87 at FM 3247
