No injuries were reported Friday when a small aircraft went off a local taxiway.

Jack Brooks Regional Airport Manager Alex Rupp said the incident happened early Friday afternoon.

Airport firefighters were on scene to safely remove the aircraft from the airfield.

Nederland Fire Chief Terry Morton said he sent an engine and crew to the scene to assist the airport crew.

The reason the aircraft went off the taxiway is not known as of Friday afternoon.
