NEDERLAND — Jan. 15 is a school holiday, and Nederland ISD is hosting a Hunter Education class that day.

The class is open to Nederland Independent School District fifth through 12th grade students and is being held in the cafeteria at C.O. Wilson Middle School, 2620 Helena Avenue in Nederland.

The cost of the class is $15 and will be paid in cash at the start of class. Organizers are asked to bring the exact amount.

There are only 25 seats available and they will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis through the Texas Parks and Wildlife online registration system.

Parents need to contact School Resource Officer Washburn (dwashburn@nederlandisd.org) to receive information on registering their students for the class.

Organizers are asked to please not show up on the day of class without first reserving a seat.
