Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers as we collectively mourn the loss of Carlos.

The viewing for Carlos is scheduled for Sunday, December 10, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a rosary ceremony commencing at 6:00 PM.

A mass of Christian burial to celebrate Carlos’s life will be held at St. Charles Church in Nederland, Texas on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 10:00 AM.

In light of this tragic event, there will be no school on Monday, December 11, 2023.

This decision is made to allow our staff, students and their families the opportunity to attend the funeral service and support one another during this challenging time.

May we find solace in coming together as a community to remember and honor the vibrant spirit that Carlos brought into our lives.

—Respectfully,  Kristi Heid, Superintendent, Sabine Pass ISD
