Vehicle assault case being sent to district attorney’s office; apartments shooting investigation continues

ORANGE — A case involving a woman who reportedly struck her boyfriend with a vehicle will be turned over to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office upon completion of the investigation, police said this week.

The man who was reportedly hit by the vehicle was not hospitalized following the Nov. 27 family violence incident, Orange Police Lt. Stephen Ward said.

The woman, identified as Aliah Roberts, 28, was arrested for aggravated assault and is no longer listed on the Orange County jail roster.

Police said the man and woman had been in a dating relationship.

The altercation was reported at 10:51 a.m. at 61 Farragut Avenue.

Responding officers with the Orange Police Department spoke to a man and a woman, according to information from OPD.

Police in Orange are continuing their investigation into a shooting that took place Nov. 29 at Willowbend Apartments in the 4000 block of Sikes Road.

Police believe two shooters fired weapons at each other and struck multiple vehicles and at least one apartment unit.

No injuries were reported.

As of Monday no arrests had been made, authorities said.
