KATHIE’S KORNER — It’s all Heavenly music to me

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I wrote an article in Galveston about my gifted, amazing musician buddies in the studios in Hollywood, called “The Wrecking Crew.”

They created Gold and Platinum hit records for the hundreds of performing artists and groups in the 70s, with their pristine collaboration that they always brought to the studio together.

They blended their music as the genius talents they are, including my husband, Mike Deasy, (guitar, sitar) andDon Randi (pianist extraordinaire). I pray hopefully the next generation of musicians can learn from and follow.

These young musicians seem impatient and in a hurry with their preparation to lead or follow a successful musical genre.

It’s all heavenly music to me, and I thank God for every note, sound and lyric He gives us.

Every Christmas we are so grateful for the gorgeous, heartfelt songs He’s given us.

There is “Christmas Everyday,” with words and music by Mike Deasy and Billie English:

“Christmas comes around once a year and it’s here again,

Is it mistletoe or the cold wind that turns your cheeks to rose.

The earth is full of Joy and every girl and boy, celebrate the birth

of Jesus, celebrate the birth of Jesus, of Jesus Christ.

Did you know it’s possible in this crazy, mixed up goofy world to know

the One we celebrate the creator of all life, and to have Jesus living in

your heart, all you have to do is PRAY and you’ll have Jesus, everyday!”
