Port Arthur Little Theatre is presenting “Closed for the Holidays,” directed by Rhiannon Pletcher and written by Cindy Marcus and Flip Kobler.

Show dates are Dec. 1-3 and 8-10, with show times at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2:30 p.m. on Sundays.

The theater is located at 4701 Jimmy Johnson Blvd. in Port Arthur, near the intersection with Twin City Highway.

After a blizzard shuts down the roads on Christmas Eve, a motley crew of travelers find themselves stranded at the local community center.

From the lovelorn drama teacher with a bus full of students, to the quarrelsome couple on the way to their wedding, to the overeager sheriff ready for some real criminal action, everyone has their own troubles to untangle.

But to have a happy holiday, they’re going to need a miracle — or seven, to be exact.

A spirited and heartwarming comedy with a healthy dash of Christmas magic, organizers say.

Tickets are $9 for students and $11 for teachers, active duty military and seniors over the age of 62.
